Banno Traditional Basmati Rice is a carefully selected, long-grained rice with a classic, slightly nutty aroma and a loose, fluffy texture when cooked. Maturing and gently grinding elongate the grains while maintaining their distinct shape—ideal for biryani, pulao, aromatic curries, grilled meats and fish, vegetables, tofu, and elegant accompaniments to everyday meals. Preparation: Rinse in clear water, optionally soak for 20–30 minutes; cook at a ratio of approximately 1:1.5–1.75 (rice:water) over low heat, covered, for 12–15 minutes. Let stand for 5–10 minutes and fluff with a fork (use the white/basmati rice setting in a rice cooker). It pairs beautifully with cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, and ghee, enhancing the flavor of sauces without thickening them. Also great for rice salads with herbs and lemon, and for meal prep—it remains loose after reheating. Store in a dry, cool, and dark place, in a tightly closed container, away from moisture and strong odors.
